Enrollment Process

- Contact the Commercial Truck Driving Program at (423) 875-8448. Let the coordinator know that you plan to enroll in the program.

- Submit a Chattanooga State Admission Application, online at http://www.chattanoogastate.edu/admissions/arapply.html or in-person at the Chattanooga State Main Campus. ($15.00 fee)

- Complete your class registration the the Tennessee Technology Center Office located at the Chattanooga State Main Campus, or online.

- Tennessee Residents may apply for the Wilder-Naifeh Technical Skills Grant (WNTSG).For additional information, contact the Financial Aid Office (423) 697-4402 located at the Student Center or online.

- Provide proof of passing a Department of Transportation Physical and Drug Screen, which can be completed by your family doctor, or contact the Commercial Truck Driving Program at (423) 875-8448 for other Physical and Testing locations.

- Provide proof of a Class A/CDL Permit from a Driver's License Testing Center. (see tab above titled Permit and Fees for further information on documants and fees that you will need to bring with you)

- Obtain a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) from one of the Driver's License Testing Centers (see tab above titled Permit and Fees for cost of MVR)

- Pay the $1067 tuition at the Chattanooga State Bursar's Office located on Main Campus, to ensure a seat in the program. (enrollment is limited and payment of the fee is the only way to guarantee you place in the class)
